Everyone wants a part of Salman Khan. After all, the actor is known to give success after success these days. And Karan Johar is more than keen to work with the Khan.

It can be remembered that Karan Johar tried very hard - and pulled every string he posiibly could - to get Salman on his show 'Koffee with Karan'. Apparently, Salman Khan was not easily persuaded or convinced and remained faraway from both - the coffee and Karan.

Now, Karan Johar, we hear has managed to get Salman to sign on the dotted line for a film he's producing. To be directed by Rensil D'Silva, Salman, we hear, has given a nod to the project and KJo couldn't be happier.

In fact, if sources are to be believed, he's recommending many directors that they sign Salman in the lead roles if they are looking at commercial profits. Wonder how well will this act of KJo's go down with Shah Rukh Khan, who ultimately isn't a part of Karan's 'Student of the Year' film!

Is she upset over Salman's decision to rope in Katrina for a song in 'Bodyguard'?

Katrina Kaif might be the reigning item queen of Bollywood, but Kareeena Kapoor's not the one to feel cornered in her own film.

Apparently when Kareena got to know about this much hyped song shoot with Salman and Katrina, she stepped up and demanded a hotter number.

A source says, "When both Kareena and Katrina's songs will be released, there is definitely going to be comparison between the two. So Kareena wants to be prepared.

The song 'Teri meri prem kahani' that has been shot over the past few days in three different locations is one of the sexiest songs Kareena has ever shot and she wanted it to be that way."

The song is quintessentially Bollywood as it gets the heroine dancing under the rain in a translucent sari. Interestingly, Teri Meri Prem Kahani is the theme track of the film.

And though it's hardly an item number, there are portions of the song, which have now been designed to look like one.

This is the first time Kat and Bebo's professional rivalry is out in the open, though the two A-listers have always been pitted against each other in some way or the other.

According to a source, "Apparently Salman's decision to rope in Katrina for a song in Bodyguard did not go down well with Kareena from the very beginning.

Even on Katrina's birthday, she dropped in to meet Salman only after Bebo left the scene." Both Kareena and Katrina denied the story.

When Katrina Kaif failed to blow whistles for a sequence in her item song in "Bodyguard", guess who came to her aid? Her former beau Salman Khan!

Katrina, who features in the second half of the song "Aaya re aaya bodyguard', was uncomfortable when she was asked to blow six whistles in the song. She couldn't whistle at all!

But Salman helped her out, tells a source from the sets.

In fact, it was Salman, who blew the whistle for Katrina in the song. The two continue to share a warm relationship despite parting from each other.

"Bodyguard", which features Kareena Kapoor as the leading lady, releases Aug 31.

The actor has turned to acupuncture for healing

Don't be surprised if you land on a set to see Salman Khan covered in prickly needles all over. We are told that the beefy actor has taken to this art of healing and uses acupuncture to ward off any pain in his body. Rather than using anti-biotics and traditional methods of treatment, Salman finds better results with acupuncture. Recently a source spotted the actor with needles pierced on his entire face on the sets of an up coming film.

Those close to the actor are aware that he fully trusts his doctor who visits any film set that he's shooting. The source says, "Salman is averse to using pills and tablets. He was recently in huge pain but despite that he shot continuously for Bodyguard and also the new season of Bigg Boss. Ever since the use of acupuncture he has found his pain to subside."

Salman is looking the best he has in years and he's in great shape. He's not only cut down on his intake of cigarettes but also alcohol. He feels that his audience has huge expectations from him which he should meet.

Much is being said about Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan's item number 'Aaya re aaya bodyguard' for the film Bodyguard.

For some more dope on the song... We hear Katrina Kaif has worn a black ghaghra and sexy choli with a silver piping and has shaken her leg with a suit-booted Salman Khan.

A source from the sets informs us, "Katrina was insistent that she practise well. She has set a standard for herself with 'Sheila Ki Jawani', and wishes to surpass that. Katrina took extra pains to ensure that her dance steps were sexy but graceful and that she looked good."

Co-producer Atul Agnihotri said that shooting the song was a smooth process. "Everyone seemed to be happy, and having a good time. There was so much energy, and the beats of the song only added to it all. We all tried to make Shera feel special. He is bhai's bodyguard after all, and has served him well for so many years. Katrina was superb, and Bhai, well, words fall short."

Aamir Khan and Salman Khan
Of late, there have been many Bollywood celebrities who seem to have joined hands in friendship. TOI lists a few dostis that have been formed only recently, be it over a cuppa chai or then while shooting a movie...

Salman Khan
and Aamir Khan seem to get along like a house on fire. They are constantly making digs at each other, but look up to each other with much reverence. While Aamir is most concerned about Salman's marriage plans, Salman is concerned that he's going to runaway to a mandap and get married for the third time...!

Ameesha Patel
has found a good friend in Manyata Dutt , Sanjay Dutt's wife. Ameesha has gone on record to say that the Dutts are like family. Of course, Sanjay, too is helping Ameesha out with her newly launched production house. He's recommending directors and putting in a wrd or two personally and making things happen for the actress.

Sanjay Dutt
himself has made a great friend in the form of Ajay Devgn. After 'All The Best', the two will be seen in 'Rascals', a film being produced by Dutt. It is heard that Ajay Devgn went out of his way to ensure that everything went right for Sanju's first home production venture.

Shah Rukh Khan
and Hrithik Roshan are known to have become fast friends. The two meet up often when both are in town. Their respective wives - Gauri and Sussanne, too, are very good friends. Being a part of the same social circle, here's a friendship circle that seems to be strong and everlasting.

Another interesting dosti is that of
Sonakshi Sinha and Sania Mirza's . The two met on a chat show and have kept in touch ever since. They even interact on social networking sites. Sania extended Sonakshi an invite to the Wimbledon, too... This friendship seems to be quite a love game.

Actresses
Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are known to be two actresses who catch up pretty often. With Ranbir Kapoor having been their common friend at one point in time, the two created a storm on Karan Johar's chat show, and seemed to enjoy each other's company.

Bipasha Basu
seems to have made some good friends. Her Dum Maaro Dum co-star Rana Daggubati and Players co-star Omi Vaidya proved to have become great dosts. And how can we forget her 'Singularity' co-actor Josh Hartnett who shares a wonderful relationship with the actress?

So it's friendship time in Bollywood... and everyone is saying 'Happy
Friendship Day mon Ami'!

Kareena Kapoor is caught in the crossfire between Bollywood's arch rival superstars Salman and Shah Rukh Khan.

Her latest film Bodyguard, co-starring Salman, is slated to be this year's big Eid release when it opens on August 31. Naturally, Salman wants her to be around for the film's promotional activities around the time.
The catch is Kareena will be in Dubai on August 31 because she is already committed to perform at SRK's live show at the emirate state, on the occasion of Eid.

If the buzz in Bollywood is to be believed, Salman is upset with the situation but he has not openly revealed his displeasure.

"August 31 happens to be a Wednesday. Salman has broken the tradition of a Friday release to ensure Bodyguard opens on Eid which will fall either on Wednesday or on Thursday. But if Kareena flies off to Dubai she will miss the final publicity campaign stint, which has become vital for every big-budget film these days," said an industry source.

For Salman, Eid has been very lucky lately. In 2009, his film Wanted released during the Eid weekend and was a superhit. Last year, Dabangg opened during Eid and ended up as the biggest blockbuster of 2010.
"Salman wants to leave no stone unturned for Bodyguard 's success. Kareena's absence could be a problem since it has been primarily pitched as a romantic comedy," the source said.

For Kareena, however, performing in Dubai with SRK is equally important. Her next big release is Ra. One, this year's big Diwali release.

"Dubai happens to be one of SRK's biggest markets. It is important that the he builds up the right hype for Ra. One in Dubai. The live show is meant to kickstart the film's publicity campaign," said the source.

At a recent do that she participated in with Salman, Kareena was asked which Khan she preferred and she promptly replied: "Salman Khan". Salman's retort was blunt. "She is like those smart kids," he said. "You ask the kid who he loves more - papa or mummy - in front of his mother and he says, 'mummy'. In front of the father, he will say, 'papa'."

Actress Katrina Kaif has chosen to work with current reigning star Salman Khan and Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan over Ranbir Kapoor.

Katrina had to refuse filmmaker Ayan Mukherjee of ''Wake Up Sid'' fame, a project which is to be produced by Karan Johar, citing unavailability of dates.
Reportedly, Ranbir was part of it.

According to sources, in spite of trying to work dates for close friend Karan''s film , Katrina had to opt out of the film due to prior commitments. Katrina was very keen on working with Karan but could not rework the dates to allot for the film.

Presently, Katrina is working around her schedule with ex-beau Salman''s film, ''Ek Tha Tiger'' and next with Aditya Chopra''s untitled film with Shahrukh.

"Katrina had to turn down the film with Karan and Ayan, both of whom she is very close to. She tried her best to accommodate the dates but it was not possible, since she had already committed to ''Ek Tha Tiger'' and Aditya''s film with Shahrukh. She does however look forward to working with them in the near future," a friend of Katrina said.

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are archrivals and who would have thought you could see the two together in this lifetime. But if sources are to be believed, the two Khans may be part of one film. Kanika Dhillon's book - Bombay Duck is a Fish - is being considered by several production companies, and will be made into a motion picture! Having a storyline that can be easily milked to suit cinematic sensibilities, the book revolves around Neki Brar, a girl who quits everything and comes to Bollywood to become a director!

We are told that while Shah Rukh Khan (who launched Kanika Dhillon's book) surely has a role for himself in this one, even the likes of Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor are going to be part of the film venture. Well, it's interesting to note that Kanika herself was an assistant director and worked in 'Om Shanti Om' with Farah Khan, besides being an integral part of SRK's 'Ra.One'. So, we do understand the Shah Rukh Khan connection, but just how is she going to crack and manage a coup of getting Salman Khan on board is what's to be seen.

After the lukewarm response Veer received, Salman Khan has re-launched Zarine Khan in a sexy item number Character Dheela in Ready. This development was news enough for the rumour mills to go abuzz with a possible romance between Salman and Zarine. But such talks have not stopped Sallu bhai from helping Zarine to create a foothold in Bollywood.

Sallu takes Zarine along to parties and is also helping the actress get good roles. "I accompany Salman to parties because I don't know anyone in Bollywood except him. I am not in touch with other people from the industry, hence Salman takes me with him. Attending parties helps me to know new people. I am a very friendly person and get along easily with people once I get to know them," Zarine said.

Zarine doesn't care much about talks of her being linked up with the pocket Hercules. "It is not just me; any girl who is accompanying Salman or is seen with him ends up being linked with him. So it is not the first time, hence I don't take these things seriously," Zarine concludes.

The buzz is also doing the round that Zarine has been signed by Sajid Nadiadwala for Housefull 2.

Kareena Kapoor is all set to dance to Salman Khan's tune now. Salman, after all, has turned composer for their upcoming biggie Bodyguard, for a special rain song that will see Kareena do an oomphy jig in a wet orange sari.

The song, Teri Meri Prem Kahani, marks Salman's unofficial debut as a music director in Hindi films. The buzz is that the superstar is not too keen to have his name featured in the credits as a composer for Bodyguard. "The sexy number featuring Kareena and Salman was shot over the weekend in Mumbai's Film City. The makers plan to use the song during the end credits of the film," a unit source of the film said.

Incidentally, Kareena's wet orange sari look bears resemblance to her image in Zoobie Doobie, the rain song she did in the blockbuster 3 Idiots. Bodyguard, produced by Salman's brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, has been in the news ever since it was launched over who composes music for the film. Initially, Bollywood's flavour of the season Pritam was signed up to score the film's music.

By the time Pritam finished composing his first song for Bodyguard, came the news that Salman had patched up with friend-turned-foe Himesh Reshammiyya. As a goodwill gesture, Salman invited Himesh to compose the remaining songs of the film, though he decided to retain Pritam's number too.

Finally, with only the rain song remaining, Salman said that he would compose the number. The buzz is that Salman came up with the basic tune and then sat down with Himesh for over two hours to finalise the song.

Over the recent past, Salman has been increasingly involved in various aspects of filmmaking beyond acting. He scripted his last year's dud Veer. Earlier this year, he is said to have ghost-edited the blockbuster Ready. And last month, he officially turned producer with the kiddie flick Chillar Party. Beyond Bollywood, apart from running his NGO Being Human, Salman is also an active painter.

Bodyguard is Salman's big Eid release this year. Over the past couple of years, the Eid weekend has been lucky for the actor, with Wanted in 2009 and Dabangg in 2010 ending up as blockbusters after opening around the auspicious day.

Recently, Salman's 'good friend' Katrina Kaif did a special item number for the film. The dance, featuring Katrina along with Salman, was picturised on the title song of the film, Aaya Re Aaya Bodyguard. Meanwhile, reports coming in suggest Salman and Atul are racing against time to complete the film on time for its release on August 31.

"The post-production has been slightly delayed because Salman has been extremely busy with various activities over the past few weeks. But the film will release on time," a source said.

Mooch Ado About Something!
What is common between Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan) from Dabangg and Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgan) from Singham; and what will be common among Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Abhay Deol and Sanjay Dutt?

Well, yes, doubtlessly all of them are male actors (this is the lamest commonality one could have thought of, and if you haven’t, then this is perhaps the lamest discussion we are having); and they are sporting moustaches for their movies.
It is said that “A man without a mustache is like a cup of tea without sugar”, and it looks like the Bollywood actors have taken this quote too seriously and moustache is the new success charm.

After Salman Khan’s moustached Chulbul Pandey created waves, this time it’s Ajay Devgan’s Bajirao Singham who is breaking box office records! However, this is not the first time that a moustached character has tasted success at the marquee. Shahrukh Khan’s Surinder Sahni in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has witnessed the same fate!

Though Aamir Khan’s Mangal Pandey and Saif Ali Khan’s Tashan were duds at the box office, it looks like they have decided to try their luck again by growing moustaches for their upcoming movies.

Abhay Deol, who is hardly seen experimenting with his looks (no six packs and no jazzy hairstyles), too has joined the moustache brigade with Dibakar Banarjee’s film Shanghai.

Though Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan have won applause and raked in collections, will Saif Ali Khan, Abhay Deol and Aamir Khan, too, hit the jackpot? What do you think? Will growing a moustache help them or is it mooch ado about nothing?
Shahid Kapoor sheds his cute boy tag by growing a moustache in dad’s upcoming film Mausam.
Sanjay has always sported different styles of beards. From his cop role in Mission Kashmir to Mussa Bhai in Luck, Sanjay has carried off all his diverse looks pretty well! Chatur Singh Two Star looks no different!
Be it his stylish moustache in Tashan or his desi moustache in Aarakshan, Saif believes in experimenting.
A rock solid police officer in Singham. Jiski moustache mein hai dum, woh fakht Ajay Devgan.
His Dabangg moustached look has earned him loads of compliments and other stars have started following suit.
Shahrukh Khan:Though he sported a cooler look as Raj in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, his moustached Surinder Sahni look was what girls found to be ‘swe

Hunky Salman Khan is now one of the highest paid actors in Bollywood. After the success his recent flicks 'Dabangg' and 'Ready', the actor has increased his fees to a whopping 50 crore per film.So far,Sallu used to charge nothing less than Rs 40 crore. At present Salman is in a commanding position at the box-office.And his business manager Matrix is also ensuring that Salman's market demand translates into big bucks.

Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan have never been paired as lovers on screen when they were in a relationship. Looks like the ex lovers are making up for all the lost time now, after parting ways.

After coming together for YRF's Ek Tha Tiger, Salman and Katrina are all set to star in Dharma Productions' yet untitled project by Rensil D'Silva.

This film hopefully will now break the jinx that has prevented Kat and KJo from working together this far. Katrina was earlier supposed to star in Dharma's sequel to Dostana with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. The project seemed to take rather too long to take off. More recently, Katrina all set to work with KJo's Dharma in Ayaan Mukerji's second directorial venture couldn't allot dates for the same.

As a result of which the Kat-KJo partnership failed to take off once again. "Till the last moment, every effort was made to get Katrina in Ayaan's project. But it just didn't work out," revealed a source close to the project.

Now, after two failed attempts to work with the actress, Karan Johar seems to have made up his mind to cast Katrina in the forthcoming Rensil D'Silva project starring Salman Khan.

Katrina, however, is willing to wait to work with Karan. "It doesn't matter whether I am in Karan's film now or later, or never. He's a dear friend and I really enjoy his company," said the actress. The Rensil D'Silva film will however go on floors next year.

Another film in Sallu's 2012 calendar
Rajkumar Santoshi can now breathe easy since his much awaited Salman starrer is finally ready to go on floors early next year. Ramesh Taurani of Tips confirmed the same and said, "We are starting our film with Salman sometime in January or February 2012."

Salman, who post his Dabangg and Ready success has become one of Bollywood's most bankable and busy stars, has allotted dates for the Tips project from early next year. The film was announced in 2010 but had failed to take off. "We need just one heroine for this film. We haven't finalised her yet though," revealed Taurani.

According to a source close to the film, "Keeping in mind the triple success if Wanted, Dabangg and Ready, Santoshi's film with Salman will also be a typical mass entertainer."

Interestingly, both Santoshi and Taurani had major plans to work with Salman which failed to take off in the past. Santoshi has always wanted to make a sequel to his 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna but it never materialised. Ramesh Taurani too had attempted to work with the Khan brothers, Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail in a remake of Amar Akbar Anthony. That too failed to take off.

The rumour around Bollywood is that shooting for Salman Khan's much anticipated ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, starring his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif, which was supposed to start in July has now been postponed to mid-Aug mainly due to Salman's busy schedule for ‘Bodyguard’ and to give more time to Bodyguard in theaters !

Yash Raj is refuting this rumour saying that Ek Tha Tiger is expected to start around mid-August, but it has nothing to do with Bodyguard.

Since Bodyguard is expected to release in early Aug, it is said that releasing Ek Tha Tiger during the same time will cause a clash.

Sources close to Salman Khan also refute this saying that shooting of Ek Tha Tiger cannot be completed within one month or so and the question of the two movies clashing is irrelevant.

However, Salman Khan fans need not be disappointed as they can expect to see a lot of their favorite star since after Bodyguard, there will be Ek Tha Tiger!

First Salman Khan's former girlfriend, actress Katrina Kaif, was roped in for the Bodyguard item number and now his security aide Shera has shot for the much-talked about song.

Shera will not only feature in Bodyguard Item Song, but he will also be seen dancing and grooving with Salman.

"Yes, I have shot for the song with Salman bhai and all this seems like a magic. Salman bhai is such a huge star and for someone like him showing such trust in me is nothing short of a miracle," Shera, who has been with Salman for more than 15 years, said in a statement.

"In front of the whole world, he said that this is my most trusted man. Isn't that great?
"This is the first time I will be in front of the camera with Salman bhai doing this item song. He just showed me some dance steps and I did a lot of rehearsal before the final take. It was scary and I was nervous. I will never forget this experience," he added.

Recently Salman had also made Shera unveil the first look of Bodyguard

The film, directed by Siddique and produced by Atul Agnihotri, is a remake of the director's 2010 Malayalam film, Bodyguard. It is scheduled for an 31st August release.

Shera with Salman Khan
Salman Khan has taken the subject of his film Bodyguard literally. First, the actor made his off-screen bodyguard, Shera, unveil the first look of the film.

Now, he has decided to feature Shera in the film's soundtrack video. When contacted, Shera said, "Yes, I am currently shooting for the song. Yeh sab kuch chamatkar se kam nahi hai mere liye.

Salman bhai is such a huge star and for someone like him showing such trust in me is nothing short of a miracle. In front of the whole world, he said that this is my most trusted man.

Isn't that great?" Shera also told Mumbai Mirror that he is apprehensive about the dance. "Salmanbhai just showed me some steps and I am rehearsing for that.

It is scary and I am nervous. I have given a couple of interviews in the past, but I am better off behind the camera." added Shera. When asked about Salman's comment about the doom the actor would face if Shera ever wrote a book on him, Shera said, "Never. This is one thought which has never occurred to me. I cannot break his trust. He said all these things in jest and I would like to keep it that way."

Katrina Kaif

If the people on the zoOm Supernova list, shut shop or moved away, Bollywood as we know it would cease to exist. Or be unrecognizable in the very least.

That's the kind of power they wield over the film industry. Sure, they may not be able to move mountains or walk on water (just yet) but it's amazing what they can accomplish with their star pull. The folks on this list are supernovas in every sense of the term, with the Top 10, holding the clout to change fortunes. Be it numero uno Salman Khan, who made a complete newbie (Sonakshi) a household name with just one film and showed an ex (Katrina Kaif), that managing without him in B-Town would be difficult despite her own meteoric rise or an Aamir Khan, who's widely considered the maai-baap of marketing, Rajinikanth who is a demigod unto himself, for Shah Rukh Khan who may be lower down the order but is the preacher of the power of PR (public relations) and has a stranglehold on the overseas market, they're all masters of the game. It took A R Rahman's awesome music to propel a film like Slumdog Millionaire and an acting veteran like Anil Kapoor into the Hollywood stratosphere. And how can we forget Katrina Kaif, the Sheila who salvaged the initial opening of Tees Maar Khan with her moves in one scorching item number and is the only gal on our top 10. Together, they make the B-Town world go round...

Aaya re aaya bodyguard…. that’s the item song which Katrina would be joyously gyrating to in Bodyguard. Even as Katrina gears up for the challenge of outdoing her Sheila ki jawaani number she has a bigger challenge to meet up to.

Salman Khan, aka the King Of All He Surveys, will also be part of the song. Apparently he reasoned that since the song is about his character, Bodyguard ka hona to haq banta hai, boss. Now Ganesh Acharya has been asked to incorporate Salman into Katrina’s elaborate item number.

Apparently Salman wants the number structured like Sheila ki jawaani where Akshay Kumar joins Katrina. That is easier said than done.

Says a source, “Salman likes to do his own thing in the dance numbers. Everyone knows in Munni badnam he didn’t follow Farah Khan’s instructions. Katrina will be rigorously rehearsing her steps for Aaya re aaya bodyguard.

She wants it to be as perfect as Sheila ki jawaani. Salman’s improvisations are bound to distract her. But the there is not much she can do about it. Because as Salman pointed out the song is about about him, so he has to be part of it. ”

Bodyguard producer Atul Agnihotri confirms that Salman would be part of Katrina’s item number.
