The one-film old Sonakshi Sinha is giving other actresses a run for their money by bagging endorsements and big films, but the Dabangg girl says she doesn't consider herself as part of the competition.

"I don't look at it that way. I think everybody here has something to offer. Everyone has their own charm and their own personality. Everybody brings something new and something different for the audience. I don't believe in competition," Sonakshi told IANS. She was in the capital Wednesday for the launch of new Pantene Hair Control shampoo.

She has got a fat role in Race 2, which was supposed to be played by Katrina Kaif. The 24-year-old has a practical outlook about someone stepping into someone else's shoes.

"If someone is not able to do a film, someone else has to take his or her place. It's just being at the right place at the right time," she said.

Right now her kitty is full of films. She is shooting for Shirish Kunder's Joker and is about to start shooting for Rowdy Rathore, both of which have Akshay Kumar as her co-star. Then she has Race 2 and Son of Sardar.

The actress, who debuted with Salman Khan in Dabangg, has got another film called Kick with the star.

"I am happy that I am working with some of the best and I consider myself very fortunate enough to have got such a chance," she said.

Sonakshi's rumoured cold war with actress Neetu Chandra and Anushka Sharma being miffed with her over her growing proximity with actor Ranveer Singh have been the talk of B-town -- however, Sonakshi doesn't care about it any more.

"I don't take such rumours seriously. I have stopped reading the newspapers and I am very happy. I used to feel bad initially but now I believe it is better to let people talk about you rather than not talk about you at all. I just turn a deaf ear and carry on with my work," she said with a carefree attitude.

Cold wars in tinsel town are not new and the latest tiff has been reported between  Neetu Chandra and Sonakshi Sinha.

Apparently,at the launch of a suburban spa recently, the attitude of the two ladies was quite indifferent to each other as they shared frosty vibes. While brushing shoulders they even refused to acknowledge each other.

It is said, the problem started when Neetu was replaced with Dabbang beauty as the celebrity participant in Bhojpuri version of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'.

It seems the saga of Sonakshi Sinha's proposed Tamil project, Vishwaroopam, with the mighty Kamal Haasan is far from over. Though the delay in the project has forced the actress out, the indefatigable maestro of makeovers has his heart and mind set on her.

Feelers after feelers are apparently being sent to Sonakshi and her father Shatrughan Sinha.

"Now that Kamal Haasan has taken over the direction of the project it is more imperative than ever that he get his first choice for the leading lady, and that's Sonakshi. The role was written with her in mind," said a source.

But despite the legendary actor's persistence, Sonakshi is unable to accommodate the project.

"Sonakshi has allotted her dates to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Prabhu Deva for Rowdy Rathore. This will go on through August. Then in September she does another schedule of Shrish Kunder's Joker. Vishwaroopam was supposed to start rolling in May-June. It's sill not taken off. There is no way she can accommodate Kamalji," said a source close to Sonakshi.

Apparently Sonakshi, who became a rage after her debut in superhit movie Dabangg, has been wondering why her presence in the film is so important.

"It's a wonderful role and it suits Sonakshi. Kamal Haasan wants Vishwaroopam to compete at the box-office with Rajnikanth's Rana," said the source.

In the two lavish projects set in two continents, the two Tamil superstars share screen space with the two Bollywood beauties Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi.

Interestingly both Rana and Vishwaroopam got delayed due to various reasons and are now expected to start and be completed at about the same time.

The ‘Singham’ star Ajay Devgan, who is currently riding high on the success of his recently released cop saga, has reportedly teamed up with the ‘Dabangg’ girl Sonakshi Sinha for Ashwini Dheer’s ‘SOS-Son Of Sardar’.

As per tabloids, Ashwini Dheer’s imminent project ‘SOS-Son Of Sardar’, starring Ajay and Sonakshi as the lead pair, is a remake of the Telugu slapstick ‘Maryada Ramanna’.

The film is basically a romantic drama with a high dose of action and thus, besides romancing Sonakshi, the macho hunk Ajay will also be seen delivering some outstanding action-feats in it.

The forthcoming flick ‘SOS-Son Of Sardar’, helmed by Ashwini Dheer, will be produced by actor Ajay Devgan and filmmaker NR Pachisia.

Talking about the lead stars of his next, NR Pachisia told Mumbai Mirror, "It is a fresh pairing. Both Ajay and Sonakshi are intense actors and they will surely create magic on screen.
"Considering it is an action packed love story, we decided to cast a fresh face opposite Ajay. We try to do different things with our projects every time in terms of casting. I am now looking forward to start the film early next year."
Sonakshi was not the first choice for ‘SOS-Son Of Sardar’
As Ajay and Sonakshi will be pairing-up for the first time, fans might be eagerly awaiting to catch the duo’s chemistry on-screen.

However, it’s learnt that Sonakshi was not the first choice for SOS. At the outset, Ajay’s ‘Golmaal 3’ co-star Kareena Kapoor was approached for Ashwini Dheer’s venture.

But, as Bebo had a packed date-dairy, she had no other option but to turn down the Ajay-starrer SOS.

Kareena’s hectic to-do list includes Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’ sequel, which is to go on floors from Jan. 2012, and her plans to walk down the aisle with beau Saif in Feb next year.

Title ‘SOS-Son Of Sardar’ registered under Akshay’s banner

Buzz has it that ‘SOS-Son Of Sardar’, the title of the Ajay-Sonakshi starrer imminent movie, has already been registered under Akshay Kumar’s banner Hari Om Entertainment.

While Ajay has already announced the title of his film, Akshay has also finalized the script for his film with the same title.

Well, who will be giving up the title of their film or in other words who will be changing the title of their film, is a much-talked about affair in the B-town these days.

Producer NR Pachisia, as quoted in TOI, said, "I am not aware of this conflict. I'll have to check it out. But I don't to hurt Akshay's sentiments as we are all part of the same industry and we are all family."

Rumours have been rife about the eminently in-demand Sonakshi Sinha doing this and that new offer. But Sonkashi has been turning down assignments with dogged regularity. In the last six months Sonakshi has signed only one film, and that’s Ashwin Dheer’s comic adventure film Son Of Sardar where Sonakshi is obviously not playing the title role.

Says a source close to Sonakshi, “Nor did she play the title role in Dabangg or Joker. Salman and Akshay Kumar play the title role. But Sonakshi made her space.

She loves her role opposite Ajay Devgn in Son Of Sardar. And is in fact the only actress of her generation who is not intimidated by senior superstars…Salman, Akshay Kumar now Ajay Devgn. ”

However it’s not as though Sonakshi is averse to working with younger co-stars. A film with Ranveer Singh is on the anvil.

At the moment Sonakshi is only confirming her presence in Son Of Sardar.

“At last some news that is true, “ Sonakshi chuckles, referring cleverly to various rumours about her including the latest that claims she refuses to work with Shahid Kapoor. As a matter of fact she is looking forward to working with him.

Says Sonakshi, “For now I can only say I’m looking forward to Son Of Sardar. It’s the kind of role I was looking forward to for a while. I am doing this film because it’s a wonderful script, extremely funny. ”

Bollwood damsel Minissha Lamba will play a desi belle in her upcoming film Zilla Ghaziabad. She will be seen in colourful ghagra cholis designed by Komal Sahani. She will be seen opposite Arshad Warsi in the film.
