Selena Gomez’s continued rise as a fashion icon got another push from the Mexican edition of Elle magazine, which features her on the cover of its August issue. She exudes glamour and sophistication beyond her years.
The magazine declares Gomez”La Chica del Momento,” literally translated Girl of the Moment, but really it means she’s the latest Hollywood “It” girl.
“Minimalistic,” is how her stylist, Basia Richards describes her style.

Despite her baby-faced boyfriend, Justin Beiber, Gomez has taken on all of the trappings of womanhood.
She just celebrated her 19th birthday and her transition to an adult career seems on track.
She’s photographed wearing a classic, Altuzarraa ensemble, wide-rim Scala Pronto hat and a Gucci belt with tassels, not exactly the wardrobe of a teenager.
Her hair is in curls and her makeup is neutral.
Gomez released her third album, When the Sun Goes Down, in June, and her new movie “Monte Carlo” hit theaters this month.
She’ll launch her “We Own the Night Tour” in just two days.
While music is on her mind at the moment, Gomez has been bitten by the acting bug. She starred in the Disney series “Wizards of Waverly Place,” since 2007.
